Jones and Carter announced recently that its Board of Directors has named Thomas Stroh as the company’s next President and Chief Operating Officer and Bob Aylward as the company’s next Chief Executive Officer.
Stroh, 48, joined Jones and Carter in April 1991 and has served in a number of positions of increasing responsibility over the span of his 24 year career with the company. After serving on the board of directors for 15 years, Stroh was named Chairman of the Board in June of 2013 and has since led the company through a number of organizational refinements aimed at positioning the company to execute an aggressive growth plan.
Aylward, 55, is joining Jones and Carter after serving in a variety of executive leadership roles in diverse fields such as energy, business services, telecommunications, defense contracting and construction. Most recently Mr. Aylward served as President and CEO of Mabey, Inc. out of Elkridge Maryland, a company that serves the infrastructure construction industry with products and services that include temporary bridges and roadways and structural shoring. “As part of our strategic plan for growth, we are expanding our management team and ownership to include key individuals that have proven success. In addition to the new top leadership positions, the company announced the addition of nine new shareholders, all seasoned Jones and Carter employees. “We have experienced tremendous growth and success over the past three years and we are expanding our ownership both as a reward for these key performers and to set the stage for the next generation of leadership,” said Stroh. “We see the substantial investments in our structure and leadership team as a strong commitment towards taking our business to the next level for the benefit of our clients and our employees.”
