Rebekah Campbell, PE, CFM, is a Project Engineer at Jones|Carter in Houston. Rebekah joined the Hydrology and Hydraulics Practice at Jones|Carter after graduating from the University of Evansville in 2008 where she earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering. She is a licensed Professional Engineer and a Certified Floodplain Manager in Texas. Her experience includes analysis of storm sewer systems, detention basin and channel design, Low Impact Development analysis and design, Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) submittals, and grant assistance projects with NRCS and FEMA.
Rebekah is an active member of TSPE.
She currently serves as a Director on the Greater Houston Chapter Board, the MATHCOUNTS Chapter Coordinator, which reaches approximately 300 students (6th – 8th grade) in the Houston area, and Scholarship Co-Chair, which provides two 4-year scholarships to high school seniors and one scholarship to a UH engineering student. She is the recipient of the 2017 State MATHCOUNTS Chapter Coordinator of the Year.

Congratulations to James Jones for being named to the Aggie Network 12 Under 12 Young Alumni Spotlight. James is senior vice president and Hydrology and Hydraulics practice leader at Jones|Carter. James was named Young Engineer of the Year in 2016 by the Greater Houston Chapter of the Texas Society of Professional Engineers, and is a past president of the Young Professional Association of the Petroleum Club of Houston. James is currently serving on the Board of ACEC – Texas and volunteers each year with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. James serves on the Zachry Department of Civil Engineering Advisory Council and is a frequent guest speaker for the Civil Engineering Department. Overnight, Hurricane Harvey was upgraded to a Category 2 Hurricane with maximum sustained winds of 110 MPH. Harvey is currently expected hit landfall as a strong Category 3 Hurricane (maximum sustained winds of 130 MPH) somewhere between Corpus Christi and the Matagorda Bay. Conditions still appear to be favorable for continued intensification up to landfall and Harvey exhibits a classic well defined hurricane on both satellite and radar images.
