OFFICE CLERK I
PURPOSE OF POSITION:
- Performs clerical duties for the Construction Division.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Ability to direct, route or screen calls, visitors, requests, etc.
- Sorts and distributes mail, routes to proper individuals and prepares outgoing mail.
- Must have the ability to recognize various types of documents and organize accordingly.
- Ability to alphabetize files correctly and apply a common sense understanding to carry out detailed instructions.
- Prepare delivery tickets for overnight and same day delivery services.
- Prepare and send faxes.
- Create, maintain and upkeep of Construction Division filing that includes the following: client files, project files, plans and specifications, reference library or catalogs.
- Type various documents for engineers and make appropriate copies of correspondence or other printed matter.
ESSENTIAL JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 1 year of secretarial/administrative experience.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Skills in MS Word and Excel a plus.
- Must be detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment with multiple concurrent assignments and constantly changing priorities.
- Ability to identify work priorities and functions with very little supervision.
- Professional attitude and appearance and able to communicate with all levels of management.

- The employee is required to frequently walk up and down stairs, stand, stoop or kneel.
