GRADUATE ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Jones & Carter, Inc., an engineering firm that has been in business for over 30 years, offers a broad range of career opportunities. We are seeking a Graduate Electrical Engineer for our Houston office. As a member of the Jones & Carter team, you will have an opportunity to participate in challenging and diversified projects in our Public Works Division.

As the electrical engineer, you will be responsible for the design of the electrical power distribution systems, low voltage (480V) Motor Control Centers, electrical control systems and emergency power backup systems for lift stations, water plants, and wastewater treatment plants. You will also be responsible for cost estimates, schedules, and recommendations on new and to existing facilities. Other responsibilities will include the preparation of contract documents and technical specifications, coordination with sub-consultants, perform electrical inspections of existing facilities, troubleshoot electrical problems, assist construction management staff and coordinating with local utility companies.

This position requires Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in power and/or controls. Candidates must have strong detail-oriented work style, excellent oral and written communication skills, and an accommodating and proactive attitude. You must also be comfortable meeting with clients and regulatory agencies and capable working in both independent and team environments. Experience with AutoCAD software is a plus.
