New Hires Continue to Elevate Firm Expertise

Jones and Carter continues to hire exceptional staff who bring unique talents, experience, and skills to our growing firm. The following new employees have been added to their respective teams:

Sean E. McMillan, PE has joined the Water Practice as a Department Manager in the Electrical Division. Sean graduated from the University of Texas at Austin in 1996 with a degree in electrical engineering. Sean’s skills and 19 years of experience will be utilized to build and lead the Electrical Division. He has provided electrical and instrumentation design for many water treatment plants, pump stations, and SCADA systems. Sean will be officing out of the Rosenberg location.

Erin Williford, PE attended Texas A&M where she received a Bachelor of Science in Meteorology, and Rice University where she earned a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. In her 10+ years of experience, Erin has worked on a number of civil design and H&H modeling projects. She served as project manager for HCFCD’s high profile Buffalo Bayou Park project. She has joined the Municipal and District Services Practice as a Department Manager in the Houston office.

Chris Curtis, RPLS has joined the Survey Practice in the Bryan/College Station office as a Project Surveyor. Drawing from nine years of experience staking oil wells and pipelines across the country, he will be pursuing and adding expertise to O/G projects for the firm. Prior to receiving his surveying license, Chris played professional baseball for such teams as the Texas Rangers, Baltimore Orioles, Minnesota Twins, and Arizona Diamondbacks.

Jones and Carter Announces New Shareholders

Jones and Carter recently announced the addition of nine new shareholders firm-wide, including Department Manager Christopher Jousan, PE, and Division Managers Martin Murdock, PE, Gary Rabalais, PE and Colby Wright, PE, PTOE all of the Houston office. Additionally, Assistant Division Manager Zachary Toups, PE, PMP, CFM and Practice Leader Robert Maxwell, PE, of the firm’s Woodlands location, were named as shareholders. Department Manager Shawn Graham, PE, LEED® AP of the Austin office, Department Manager Adam Brumbaugh, PE of the Bryan/College Station office and Department Manager Reese Conner, PE of the San Antonio office were named as shareholders, as well.

Jones and Carter Adds Marketing Staff

Jones and Carter is pleased to announce two new employees joining the firm’s corporate marketing department. Kristin Kautz, CPSM will serve as Corporate Director of Marketing and Cynthia Roth as Corporate Communications Manager. Ms. Kautz brings over 20 years of experience to her new role, including serving as Director of Marketing and PR for the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Ms. Roth brings over 30 years’ experience in marketing professional services for both the AEC and commercial real estate industries with a primary focus in public relations. In their new roles, they will continue to drive in- place corporate initiatives as well as build the Jones and Carter brand throughout Texas.

Jones and Carter Names New Leadership

Jones and Carter announced recently that its Board of Directors has named Thomas Stroh as the company’s next President and Chief Operating Officer and Bob Aylward as the company’s next Chief Executive Officer.

Stroh, 48, joined Jones and Carter in April 1991 and has served in a number of positions of increasing responsibility over the span of his 24 year career with the company. After serving on the board of directors for 15 years, Stroh was named Chairman of the Board in June of 2013 and has since led the company through a number of organizational refinements aimed at positioning the company to execute an aggressive growth plan.

Aylward, 55, is joining Jones and Carter after serving in a variety of executive leadership roles in diverse fields such as energy, business services, telecommunications, defense contracting and construction. Most recently Mr. Aylward served as President and CEO of Mabey, Inc. out of Elkridge Maryland, a company that serves the infrastructure construction industry with products and services that include temporary bridges and roadways and structural shoring. “As part of our strategic plan for growth, we are expanding our management team and ownership to include key individuals that have proven success. Our vision includes increasing opportunity across our organization and beyond our current geographic footprint,” said Jones and Carter Chairman, Thomas Stroh. “I look forward to working with Bob [Aylward] and the rest of the management team as we execute our exciting vision. I strongly believe the investments in our management structure will both challenge us and create greater value for our clients.”

Jones and Carter Adds Professional Staff

Jones and Carter ramps up its professional staff throughout Texas as 2015 continues the momentum from the previous year. New employees include Randall Phillip, Construction Engineer in The Woodlands office, Chelsea Young, Project Manager in the Houston office and Dwayne Hamilton, PE, Deputy Practice Leader and Vice President of Government Infrastructure in the San Antonio office.

Experiencing phenomenal growth, Jones and Carter responds by adding new professional staff throughout Texas. Joining the firm as design engineers are Blake Allison and John Gibson in the San Antonio office and Kyle Brockman, Stephanie Tse, and Sean McMillan in The Woodlands office. These employees will augment our project teams and assist us in continuing to meet the exacting requirements of all of our clients.
