The master planning and design of plants, facilities, and pumping stations for the treatment and transport of all water types is a main focus of our Water practice. These critical operations produce potable drinking water, treat wastewater, reclaim water for reuse, and evacuate storm water flows with a specialty in transmission. The practice also specializes in designing electrical control systems, SCADA systems, and auxiliary power systems to complement these facilities. We have amassed an integral understanding of the environmental issues involved in providing valuable and dependable resources to the end user. Ultimately, our design encompasses more than just concrete, steel, and engineering; it considers access for maintenance, programs for long-term maintenance, power, and operational costs.

FACILITIES & TREATMENT DIVISION
The Facilities & Treatment Division focuses on delivery of “inside the fence” infrastructure for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater for municipal and public entities. In addition to feasibility studies, detailed design, and construction administration and management of new facilities, and rehabilitation of existing facilities, we offer services for facility audits, condition assessments, TCEQ storage tank inspections, master planning, capital project planning, TPDES permitting, and industrial pretreatment programs. The Electrical Division provides full electrical, SCADA, network, and wireless design for water, wastewater, and industrial jobs. The team brings real world experience solving client’s biggest challenges. We are partnered with several industry leading companies to provide SCADA programming, configuration, and start up services to develop a project from design through commissioning. The electrical team brings the necessary services to a project including electrical assessment, a new motor control system, or an advanced plant SCADA system.
CONVEYANCE & TRANSMISSION DIVISION
The Conveyance & Transmission Division specializes in water transmission projects and hydraulic system modeling and analysis, focusing on both large diameter water pipeline in congested rights-of-way and open country construction. Additionally, we design complex systems capable of being constructed in various open-cut and trenchless construction applications. We also model water distribution and sanitary sewer collection systems.
Union Park is a 1,085-acre master planned community featuring a 35-acre park with open greenbelts and natural ponds. Future home to 3,200 single-family homes, the community boasts an amenity center, open air pavilion, resort-style pool, sports fields, pockets parks, and trails.
In 2009, Jones|Carter developed the City’s Groundwater Reduction Plan (GRP) which reduces the City’s dependence on groundwater by converting to an alternative source.
Over two decades working with Bridgestone MUD has garnered our team an innate understanding of how to solve some of their most challenging issues.
The project scope includes rehabilitation of the existing influent lift station piping and controls. The new wastewater plant project also includes new electrical service, a 600-kW diesel generator and 2,000 gallon fuel tank, and a new control building.

Within the confines of Harvest are 13 different governmental entities with varying jurisdictional powers. Managing that process along with executing a Hillwood project following their Live Smart Principles, created geopolitical barriers that had to be overcome to create a “win-win” for all involved.
