Challenge:

At the onset of the project while establishing the boundary, we encountered a deed line that went to the “south bank of the Colorado River,” which is now inundated by Lake Travis. Also, a portion of the project was purchased directly from the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) who would only sell the land that was above the 670-contour line.

Solution:

To establish the correct boundary, we utilized LCRA Bathemetry data along with old maps created when the lake was originally built to establish the boundary in this area. We also coordinated aerial topography and used resulting data along with on-the-ground verification to establish the new boundary of what would become the Reserve at Lake Travis.

Lake Travis’ ultimate gated, waterfront community features over three miles of shoreline, the deepest marina, private club, an equestrian center, and swim park. JC provided complete surveying services, including boundary and design surveying, platting, and construction surveying for nearly a decade on the prestigious 280-acre private community. Additionally, easement descriptions, condominium plats and plans, elevation certificates, as-built surveys, and marina layout have contributed to the success of the project.
