Parmer Lane Extension

Jones & Carter, Inc. provided the design and preparation of construction plans for the paving and drainage of 1,700 linear feet of 4-lane divided arterial roadway for the City of Austin, Texas. Services included construction management and coordination with three owners, two inspectors, and coordination with the utilities contractor to optimize scheduling. A complicated traffic control plan was designed to keep full use of Old Highway 20, during construction, by use of detours and temporary roadways. For this project, Jones & Carter, Inc. also designed revisions to the traffic control signal at the intersection of Parmer and U.S. Highway 290 E., in addition to designing water quality and stormwater detention ponds to meet City of Austin Standards.
