Fort Bend County WC&ID NO. 2 - Lift Station No. 8

Lift Station No. 8 in Fort Bend County WC&ID No. 2 was a wet pit/dry pit lift station that used self-priming pumps in a below ground vault. A small wet well and cramped working quarters in the dry pit made operation and maintenance of this lift station difficult. This project included the construction of a second wet well and valve vault adjacent to the existing wet well. New submersible pumps were installed, and the existing control panel was replaced. The construction was completed while keeping the existing station on-line and the self-priming pumps and dry pit were removed. This project was complicated by the small size of the existing site and working around the existing facilities.
