Wastewater Treatment Plant - Harris County Municipal Utility District No. 365

This 0.6 MGD plant provides service to the Coles Crossing subdivision in northwest Harris County. It included obtaining a TNRCC/EPA, (now TCEQ), permit for a new discharge point on Dry Creek and master planning the plant expansions through buildout. The process consists of mechanical screening, fine bubble aeration, clarification, and chlorine disinfection facilities. Dual process trains and operational redundancy were key design features for this first phase plant where upsets and broken equipment would mean certain non-compliance with the discharge permit.
