Present Street - City of Stafford, Texas

For this project, Jones & Carter, Inc. was responsible for the design of paving, drainage, and utility improvements to widen Present Street from a two-lane asphalt road with roadside ditches to a four-lane reinforced concrete pavement section with curb and gutter. The scope included replacing existing roadside ditches with underground storm sewers and construction of 12, 16, and 20-inch waterlines. The project presented many challenges because the improvements were constructed to serve three (3) separate entities: the City of Stafford, the City of Missouri City, and Fort Bend Water Control and Improvement District No. 2. The construction cost was $850,000.
