County Road 272 Upgrade and Reconstruction - Leander, Texas

Jones & Carter, Inc. designed the upgrade and reconstruction of Williamson County Road 272 for the City of Leander, Texas. This 2.6-mile section of roadway was upgraded from a two-lane road to a four-lane divided arterial connecting US-183 and the future Parmer Lane (FM 734).

Jones & Carter, Inc. performed the engineering and surveying on this project which included alignment adjustments, drainage design, traffic studies, pavement design and bridge design. The design also included upgrading an at-grade rail crossing used by the short-line railroad Trans-Global Solutions, Inc. County Road 272, also known as East Crystal Falls Parkway, is a major arterial within the Leander Transportation Plan as Parmer Lane (FM 734) and US 183A began serving the northern region of the Austin Metropolitan Area. We completed final plans, specifications and estimates (PS&E) for the project in the Spring of 2002.
