Hornsby Bend on the Colorado River

The Hornsby Bend project included Land Title Surveys for the purchase of 1,973 acres of land located directly along the Colorado River just southeast of Austin, Texas. Due to the logistics of surveying a navigable river, Jones & Carter, Inc. worked directly with the General Land Office of Texas in the determination and establishment of the gradient boundary along the subject property. A boat was used during field operations for surveying the bank of the Colorado River, as well as the location of two island parcels created by accretion and a location shift of the navigable channel.
