Maverick Lake Resort at Possum Kingdom Lake

Maverick Lake Resort is an Equilibrium Resorts, LLC development. This project, currently under construction, will include distinctive home sites and a resort-style community.

Jones & Carter, Inc.'s surveying services included establishment of vertical and horizontal survey control for the project utilizing U.S. Geological Survey monuments, retracement and establishment of boundary lines, and original monumentation for the 1,400-acre Willingham Ranch property. Our work also included the location of approximately 38,000 linear feet of the adjoining Brazos River Authority (BRA) owned property. Other services included topographic surveying along the vertical cliff areas adjacent to the lake, locating boundary information along the adjoining BRA owned lease property, and construction staking for the clearing of roads in the heavily wooded, rugged and rattle snake prone areas.

All-terrain vehicles, robotic, and GPS surveying equipment, laptop computers with wireless internet access, coupled with employee dedication made this one of our most exciting and challenging projects. While primarily managed out of our Dallas regional office, Jones & Carter, Inc. enjoyed building community relationships while utilizing the Possum Hollow Lodge as our base of operations for all field personnel.
