City of Brenham Bond Funds Street Improvements

This project consisted of paving, drainage and utility improvements on Old Mill Creek Road, Tom Green Street at South Day Street and Austin Street, Pecan Street, and Stringer Street within the City of Brenham, Texas.  Paving and drainage improvements included common excavation, cement stabilized subgrade, reprocessed sand/gravel base, reinforced concrete curb and gutter, and paving. The project also included concrete pavement repair, reinforced concrete culverts, curb inlets, headwalls, valley gutters, and junction box.

Jones & Carter, Inc. prepared the plans for the storm sewers, crushed rock/concrete rubble rip rap, and placement of new street signs. Our services also included erosion control fabric, hydromulching, and removal and disposal of existing curb and gutter.  The utility improvements included waterlines, gate valves and boxes, tapping sleeves, fire hydrants, tie-ins, sewer line, and relocation of the irrigation system.
