Sean McMillan, Vice President of Electrical Engineering, will participate in a panel discussing “Secured Wireless Technologies and Mobility Options.” The panel, sponsored by the Electrical & Instrumentation Committee of WEAT, will follow presentations by Paul Mercier, Senior Project Sales Engineer at Phoenix Contact USA, Inc. and Scott Duhaime, Senior Product Manager at GE Digital. This will be WEAT’s first technical seminar of 2019.
Sean will be joining several industry experts, including Mr. Duhaime and Mr. Mercier as well Jake Peňa, Assistant Water Systems Superintendent with the City of Fort Worth on the panel discussion. Sean will be sharing lessons learned from a project where he set up remote SCADA access via cell phone with GE Proficy. He will also discuss the cybersecurity implications of remote access. Audience members will be encouraged to actively participate in the discussion, which aims to provide insight on wireless and mobility technology.
