In their Presentation “Bridging the Gap from Traditional to Strategic Project Delivery & Initiatives”, Pinheiro and Guerra will illustrate steps municipalities can take as they transition from reactive to proactive infrastructure maintenance. The discussion will feature how the integration of smart technology can maximize the return on dollars spent on infrastructure and meet the increased demands caused by expanding populations. The duo will also discuss the influence of the Internet of Things (IoT) on the industry, including how the IoT empowers municipal staff to understand and manage the performance of their assets by reducing costs, mitigating risks, optimizing performance, and gaining efficiencies.
