Recent Project Awards
Congratulations to the Jones|Carter Water Team
on winning the National American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC)
Engineering Excellence Gold Medal for work on the Corrosion Study of Alternative Water Source for the City of Rosenberg
. As a corrosion study, this project won under Category I: Special Projects, which encompasses numerous project types, including corrosion protection/cathodic protection. This study also won at the state level under the Special Category division.
The team, joined by City of Rosenberg representatives, will travel to Washington, D.C. to accept the award at the ACEC Annual Convention
on May 7th
The Star was awarded the 2019 Urban Land Institute Development of Distinction Award
in the “For-Profit – Large” category.
Formerly known as the historic Texas Company, or Texaco, building The Star
is located at 1111 Rusk Street and has been redeveloped into a 286-unit luxury apartment project. The Star was originally designed by Warren and Wetmore and was the last major Pre-WWII historic renovation opportunity remaining in downtown Houston.
Jones|Carter designed the public and private infrastructure required to serve the building and bring it into compliance with current City standards. Congratulations to The Star and to the Jones|Carter team.
