Jones|Carter is the design engineer for the improvements to the intersection of State Highway (SH) 29 and County Road (CR) 200 and Loop 332 in Liberty Hill in western Williamson County. This project will improve safety and mobility helping to remove bottlenecks and relieve overall congestion in the area. This section of roadway is high profile as it serves as a major route to citizens in the western part of Liberty Hill, as well as the school system. The average daily traffic in this intersection exceeds 21,000 vehicles.
The Jones|Carter team was contracted by the Challenger School Foundation to perform civil engineering services for the Challenger School in Plano. The school is located on a 9.22-acre site at the intersection of Spring Creek Parkway and Communications Parkway, just west of the Dallas North Tollway.
In 2016, Jones|Carter was selected by the City of Houston to design approximately 6,000 linear feet of 108-inch diameter water transmission line adjacent to the Harris County Flood Control channels located immediately south of Beltway 8 from Willis Street to Imperial Valley Drive.
Jones|Carter was selected by The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to provide site development services for the consolidation of its Austin-area campuses into one master campus. The project is located at the intersection of Burleson Road and East Stassney Lane south of Highway 71 between Highway 183 and Interstate 35. The nearly 49-acre tract is currently undeveloped and heavily wooded.
Jones|Carter is excited to partner with Southerland Communities, LLC and National Land Partners, LLC to provide services for The Canyons at Scenic Loop Development. The development is in Texas Hill Country, northwest of San Antonio, and off IH 10. The Canyons development is a private gated community comprised of single-family custom homes with lots averaging from 0.5 to 1.5 acres.
Jones|Carter was selected by the TxDOT Tyler District to perform traffic projections and analyses for a high growth corridor identified for potential roadway improvements. The projections were used to assist the Tyler District in planning future improvements for 20 intersections along 10.5-miles of US 271 and South Loop 485 in Smith and Gregg Counties.
Jones|Carter has been selected by the TxDOT San Antonio District to provide engineering services for a proposed 120-foot right-of-way on FM 1560 from SH 16 to FM 471 in Bexar County. The need for an expansion to help alleviate traffic issues and congestion is evident as the roadway is currently too narrow to handle the existing traffic volumes.
Jones|Carter performed engineering services for Harris County’s Traffic Signal Replacement Program. The project was funded through the federal Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement Program and was designed according to Harris County and TxDOT standards and specifications.
Jones|Carter performed the mobility plan for the Springwoods Village development on northwest corner of IH 45 at SH 99 (Grand Parkway) in Harris County.
Jones|Carter was selected by the TxDOT Fort Worth District to perform speed zone studies on more than 320 miles of roadway in Parker, Hood, Johnson, Tarrant, and Jack Counties. The work was performed as part of Work Authorization #1 under a statewide contract to perform traffic engineering studies and design for TxDOT.
