Harvest Green Residential – Richmond, TX – Houston Area

In 2014, Jones|Carter was contracted by Johnson Development to perform civil services for a new community in Richmond. The Harvest Green community is a 1,055-acre master-planned community centered around a 12-acre working farm. Harvest Green is a sustainable development utilizing bio-swales among other features to promote green living.

SXSW Center – Austin, TX – Central Texas

Each year South by Southwest Festivals & Conferences, better known as SXSW, hosts a festival in Downtown Austin. In 2016, SXSW announced their intent to build a new headquarters in Austin. Jones|Carter is providing surveying, site design, and utility engineering for the 12-story, 145,000 square foot building. The headquarters will include office, restaurant, and retail space, as well as five floors dedicated to parking. The development is targeting a LEED Gold certification. The project limits are Lavaca, 14th Street, and Guadalupe Street. Located along 14th Street are several large heritage oaks, that quickly became a main focal point of the project. The architect designed the building in a serpentine shape to preserve the heritage trees.

Memorial Heights Redevelopment Authority (COH TIRZ 5) – Houston, TX – Houston Area

Jones|Carter has served as the Program Manager for City of Houston TIRZ 5, otherwise known as Memorial Heights Redevelopment Authority (MHRA) since 2015. MHRA was established in 1996 to provide the necessary plans and programs to support the projected growth in the Memorial Heights and White Oak Bayou recreational corridor. The MHRA is primarily focused on reconstruction of public infrastructure that encourages economic growth through private redevelopment. In 2015, annexation resulted in MHRA’s ability to begin improvements focused on the long-term stability and the viability of the area.

North Houston Development Corporation (COH TIRZ 11) – Houston, TX – Houston Area

Jones|Carter has served as Program Manager for the City of Houston’s Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone 11, otherwise known as N. Houston Development Corp. (NHDC), since 2006. The NHDC was created in 1998 to facilitate development and redevelopment in the Greenspoint area.

Springwoods Village and City Place – Spring, TX – Houston Area

Jones|Carter has served as Construction Manager for Springwoods Village since 2013. Springwoods Village is a 2,000-acre master planned community located within the Harris County Improvement District 18, just south of The Woodlands and 20 miles north of downtown Houston. The J|C team has had staff located onsite since 2013.

Utility Districts – Statewide

Jones|Carter serves as Program Manager for more than 100 Utility and Special Districts throughout Texas. Our Team partners with each District’s Board of Directors to plan, maintain, and operate long-term infrastructure to improve the quality of life and provide modern amenities to communities within our districts.

Improvements to SH 29 and C.R. 200 / Loop 332 – Williamson County, TX – Central Texas Area

Jones|Carter is the design engineer for the improvements to the intersection of State Highway (SH) 29 and County Road (CR) 200 and Loop 332 in Liberty Hill in western Williamson County. This project will improve safety and mobility helping to remove bottlenecks and relieve overall congestion in the area. This section of roadway is high profile as it serves as a major route to citizens in the western part of Liberty Hill, as well as the school system. The average daily traffic in this intersection exceeds 21,000 vehicles.

Challenger School Phase 1 – Plano, TX

The Jones|Carter team was contracted by the Challenger School Foundation to perform civil engineering services for the Challenger School in Plano. The school is located on a 9.22-acre site at the intersection of Spring Creek Parkway and Communications Parkway, just west of the Dallas North Tollway.

City of Houston 108-Inch Diameter Waterline – Houston, TX

In 2016, Jones|Carter was selected by the City of Houston to design approximately 6,000 linear feet of 108-inch diameter water transmission line adjacent to the Harris County Flood Control channels located immediately south of Beltway 8 from Willis Street to Imperial Valley Drive.

TxDOT Campus Consolidation – Austin, TX

Jones|Carter was selected by The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) to provide site development services for the consolidation of its Austin-area campuses into one master campus. The project is located at the intersection of Burleson Road and East Stassney Lane south of Highway 71 between Highway 183 and Interstate 35. The nearly 49-acre tract is currently undeveloped and heavily wooded.
