The Ivy and The James are two luxury apartment towers off Mid Lane and Westheimer Road in the River Oaks neighborhood of Houston. The 20-story Ivy tower boasts more than 200 units and features a range of amenities such as an infinity pool, private residential bar and concierge service. The James is an eight-story mid-rise tower with 344 units. Residents of The James can enjoy an on-site library, yoga studio and coffee bar.

Our team assisted the client through the Joint Referral Committee (JRC) process for the abandonment of Bettis Road.  Our team also relocated a storm sewer system with an outfall location in an adjacent Harris County Flood Control District right-of-way. Overhead powerlines were relocated and we provided traffic mitigation measures to offset the development’s impact at the intersection of Westheimer and Mid Lane.

Additional features of the project included coordinating the installation of private street lights and developing and getting approval for an emergency access plan.
